The Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society is a nonprofit agency in Nanaimo that has been providing social support and consulting services to immigrants and foreign visitors for over 25 years.

Now we are making these same social support services available to international students attending school in the Nanaimo area.

We can help you find a place to live, get settled  or assist you in opening a bank account, getting a drivers license or even buying a car and insurance. We can provide you with legal information, immigration services, cultural orientation, employment services and translation or interpreting services. We can assist you in welcoming your family members to Canada or provide invaluable information on traveling in the United States. Plus much much more.
