CVIMS was pleased to welcome the board, members, staff, volunteers, partners, and community members to our 2026 Annual General Meeting and Community Gathering. The evening offered an opportunity to reflect on the past year, conduct important organizational business, and celebrate the people who contribute to our work.
The formal program opened with an address from the President, who reflected on CVIMS’ achievements, growth, and commitment to building a welcoming community where newcomers and diverse peoples can thrive.
Members then received the 2025–2026 Audited Financial Statements, followed by the appointment of the auditor for the next fiscal year. The 2025–2026 Executive Report highlighted the organization’s programs, partnerships, accomplishments, and community impact over the past year.
The meeting also included nominations and elections to the Board of Directors. We are grateful to everyone who put their name forward to serve and to all board members for contributing their time, knowledge, and leadership to CVIMS.
Following the formal business, one of the board members led an engaging and entertaining bingo game. The activity brought plenty of laughter and friendly competition to the room. Guests then enjoyed light refreshments while mingling, reconnecting, and forming new relationships.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the AGM such a successful and enjoyable gathering. We are especially grateful to our members, Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, funders, donors, partners, and supporters for their ongoing commitment to our mission.
Together, we look forward to another year of creating opportunities, strengthening connections, and fostering belonging across Central Vancouver Island.
