Immigrant Welcome Centre

A leader in providing services for immigrants and in promoting diversity in our community, CVIMS is a registered charity and a non-profit, community-based agency that works with individuals and organizations. For over 30 years it has developed and delivered programs and services for immigrants, and worked with the community to promote diversity and welcome immigrants to the central island region.

In January 2010, CVIMS gave the centre a name - IMMIGRANT WELCOME CENTRE. “As we moved into the future, it became clear that we would need a name that reflected not only who we are, but also what we do,” says Executive Director Hilde Schlosar. “We needed a name that reached many audiences – a name that spoke to both the community as well as to the immigrants we serve. We believe Immigrant Welcome Centre does just that!”
